Halloween Party Planning: After seeing the glow in the dark…
Creative Homemade Halloween Costume Ideas For Kids:
I simply love Halloween, it’s one of my holidays. it’s a chance to get truly creative. Everything from the homemade costume designs, candy and spooky party planning. I’m not sure if my son enjoys more or I do. Last year I didn’t do much in the way of a costume for my little one, (I ended up buying something from the store) so I feel this year I really need to step it up, my son is almost 3 and I feel that it’s time to start my creative Halloween traditions. Costume making, party planning and everything else that makes that makes this such a fun holiday. Now all that being said, I love being creative but often don’t have nearly as much time as I would like, I’m sure most people with a growing family feel this way, so I have tried to create a resource for some of the simple, homemade creative ideas I have found online and at the end I have added some of the best of the best - maybe most creative, detailed costumes I have ever seen.

Ok, so these costumes are just amazing – They don’t fit into are easy to make category but they are just so good I wanted to share the find. They were created by a fashion designer for her four boys. Click here for more photos.
I had to add a couple of costumes in the transformers section, mainly because these are juts unbelievable.

Ok, so this isn’t just a Halloween costume, this was created as part of a Cosplay event. Cosplay, which I learned more about while researching this article, is short for “costume play” and is a type of performance art where participants create and wear costumes to represent a specific character, which differentiates it’s self from Halloween or Mardi Gras costumes which tend to represent the Holiday or are symbolic of the culture. Cosplayers take costume creating to the next level and create some amazing works. Check out this Transformers costume, this must have taken weeks of work.
Grim Hammer created this awesome costume for his daughter. For details of how her made it click here.
This is such a great original idea. Very cool and probably not that hard to recreate with a little work.
